About Sherry
I’m Sherry Chua, a board-certified mental health coach with formal training in crisis counseling and over 15 years of ministry experience. My husband and I spent five years serving overseas as missionaries while raising our young children, an experience that shaped how I understand resilience, faith, and emotional strain in real life. I bring these experiences into my coaching with steadiness, care, and practical wisdom.
Training & Credentials
I’ve completed hundreds of hours of specialized mental health training and have worked under licensed supervision. I continue to pursue ongoing education to strengthen my skills and stay grounded in ethical, evidence-informed practice. My training includes areas such as crisis response, trauma and grief, spiritual first aid, youth mental health, emotionally destructive relationships, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
My Approach
My approach is calm, guided, and collaborative. I help clients identify patterns, build healthy boundaries, and develop emotional and relational skills that support lasting growth. Faith is welcomed into the coaching process for those who desire it, always with respect and sensitivity. I believe each person’s story, values, and lived experiences deserve careful listening, and I work to provide a coaching experience that feels thoughtful, personal, and supportive.
My Clients Say
Clients often describe my coaching style as gentle, steady, and nonjudgmental. They share that they feel seen, heard, and supported as they gain clarity and take meaningful next steps in their personal and relational lives.
